School Management Structure

The Chief Executive Officer

Unlike other private schools the proprietor works in the position of the Chief Executive Officer and his role is to support and guide school in terms of school development, approving annual current budget, securing all essential physical and psycho- ambience and approving all recruiting, appointing and financial matters. He also liaises with external agencies for the development of the school.

The Principal

Like any other school, the principal is the overall administrative and instructional leader.   His/her main role is to ensure that the school is a safe and conducive environment for the students learning and that the teachers are motivated to deliver quality education under his/her guidance and support. Further, the principal shall create an atmosphere of shared responsibility where teachers work as a team under the clear spelled out roles and responsibilities. Collaborative effort, transparency and collective wisdom are some of the working principles in the school.

Vice Principal

The Vice Principal is second in position next to the principal and he looks after the academic, student’s affairs and co-curricular activities. He plays a vital role in assisting the principal in all administrative and instructional management.

The School Management Team,

The School Management Team comprises of the Head of the subject Departments and the nominated Staff Secretary. While day to day administrations are carried out by the Principal and Vice Principal, The management team meets constantly to review the planned program me and to address administrative issues that arises during the course of the year. The same team is also the HRD committee for tabling various HR management.

Conventional levels

The highest Policy decision making level is the School Management Board and at the school there are three conventional levels. The plans and proposal begin at the students’ level where the different captains’ committee meet and submit their proposal to the relevant school committees. The school committee then endorses the proposal and submits to the Monthly Management Meeting where the final decision is taken. The Monthly Management Meeting is chaired by the Principal but attended by the CEO for necessary advice and support. The minutes of the meeting become the way forward action for the school.

There are 21 school committees who plan and execute their programmes after collecting the proposal from the student captains’ committee and getting endorsed by the School Management Team through the Monthly Management Meeting. Their plans should be incorporated in the annual school calendar and the proposal is just the details of implementation plan. The following are the details of committees and their mandates
